OSM Innovative Training Solutions (OSM) provides adequate protection for the health, safety and welfare of students which includes adequate and appropriate support services in terms of academic and personal counselling.

OSM is committed to providing high quality education and training services in which our clients are encouraged to excel and fulfill their potential in a positive and supportive learning environment.  OSM has polices and procedures to ensure this occurs.

TERMS & CONDITIONS OF ENROLMENT

To ensure that your enrolment is confirmed, a booking confirmation form must be completed and received by this office at least two (2) days prior to delivery.

OSM reserves the right to deny training to any participant displaying unruly or disruptive behaviour with no refund offered.

The employer / client will be notified immediately upon expulsion.

APPEALS/COMPLAINTS

If at any point, you feel that you have been unfairly treated or discriminated against you may appeal against this treatment or decision.  In the first instance you are encouraged to speak with your Instructor.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

OSM offers national recognition for training undertaken at another RTO, credit transfers to related studies that can be mapped against OSM'scourse outcomes.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process that allows a person to receive recognition and credit for the skills and knowledge they have, no matter how and when they were attained.  This can include skills and knowledge from previous study or from work and life experiences.

Students may request RPL  for a unit(s) of competency / modules.  To apply for Recognition of Prior Learning you will need to contact us.

ACCESS & EQUITY

OSM's Access & Equity Policy supports the principles of Queensland's Department of Employment and Training Access and Equity Policy for the Vocational Education and Training System, which supports a training system that responds to the needs of all people.

Our recruitment and selection process complies with access and equity principles and with all relevant legislation including Equal Employment Opportunity and Anti Discrimination Acts.  OSM's Training Development Manager is responsible for Access and Equity issues relating to OSM's training courses.

WORKPLACE HEALTH & SAFTEY

OSM is a registered workplace and therefore must conform to the requirements of the Workplace Health & Safety Act (1995).

LITERACY & NUMERACY

All courses include a componenet of literacy and numeracy support.  Please advise OSM of your requirements prior to course commencement by contacting the administration staff.

SECURITY & RIGHTS OF ACCESS

Access to a student's information is restricted to authorised OSM staff on a "need to know" basis.

Student information is kept under proper security at all times to ensure access is not gained by unauthorised persons.

If you wish to access your personal information you are required to complete a "Request for Information" form supplying proof of identification at the same time.

Where authorised your results will be disclosed to a third party (e.g. employer).  Authorisation is given on the enrolment form at course commencement.
